OVERVIEW:
The Popsicle Girl chronicles a young supermarket clerk's discovery of a woman frozen in a block of ice in the far back of the store's dairy case. Traditionally animated and hand painted, this modern fairy tale took two years to advance from scribbled storyboards to a pristine 35mm widescreen print.
Portland-based composer Marc Mager orchestrated the score while Mark Sebastian and Ronnie Bronstein lent their voice talents. The entire project was visualized solely from start to finish by Wes himself as his NYU thesis film.
